CUF was established in the year 1999 by the trio – Mr. Prabhu Tendolkar, Dr. Birmole and (late) Mr. Gallyot. Clean, beautiful, healthy and safe Panvel has always been the main goals for CUF. When CUF was established there were many problems relating to civic facilities. To deal with those problems. Initially clean and beautiful Panvel were our main goals. Later healthy Panvel was also added in our goals and thus we started with three goals. Since then health camps were religiously organized by us every year. It resulted to be advan- tageous to the society at large During this period, there were lot of theft incidences in the CUF nagar area. So security became the major need. CUF members started patrolling in the area during night along with the policemen. There- fore safety became essential aspect and thus 4th goal as safe Panvel was established in our activities. In 2006 many people requested CUF to organize seminars on different subjects from promi- nent social icons and we started Sanvadmala under cultural activities. In 1999 we were compelled to come together for ‘clean environment’ as a requiremnt of the socities. We initiated by keeping our area clean and environment friendly. This is how clean, environmentally beautiful, healthy, safe and cultural Panvel became the major goals in our organization and they are the pillars of our activities. We feel proud to mention that all CUF activities started in our organization.
