There was a need and demand from Panvel citizens to start an optional transport facility against the arrogance and monopoly of auto rickshaw Drivers. So along with the Panvel citizens, CUF volunteers arranged an 11.5 km long rally in Panvel city. 9000 citizens actively participated in the rally. Thus internal bus service was started by NMMT with attempts of CUF volunteers and Pan- vel citizens. More busses were also started on 3 different routes -in Panvel, New Panvel, and Kamothe.
