Tree Plantation
Location - Fanaswadi
The tree plantation project is carried out every year since 2018 at Fanaswadi, Pale Budruk, Panvel.
CUF invited together people from all spheres of society including policemen, Rotarians, and students of colleges and schools to come and participate in tree plantation at Fanaswadi.
Well-planned irrigation systems like borewells, pipeline are planned and set up for irrigation of the plantation. Till now more than 8000 trees are planted and maintained.
Many institutions participated in the tree plantation project by either making donations or by participating in planting trees.
CSR funds for the project were donated by CERE =CENTRE for ENVIRONMENT RE- CERCH and EDUCATION
Institutes like the Rotary Club of Panvel, Giants club, Lions club, students from MGM Dental, National service scheme unit, MGM medical college, V.K High school, MGM New Bombay college, and many more actively participated in the tree plantation project.
Caretakers of the plantation are Sanjay, Soma, and Ankush. (from left to right) They look after the irrigation system and day-to-day care of the plantation. They are very cautious and take special care to avoid forest fires.
